Ferrari - The Ultimate Driving Experience
Ferrari is one of the most well known car manufacturers in the world. I do not know of anyone who has not dreamed of one day owning a Ferrari of their very own. The symbol of the Ferrari is the majestic black prancing horse that is seen on all Ferrari cars.
Ferrari is an Italian company based in Maranello. It was founded in 1929 by Enzo Ferrari and it was known as Scuderia Ferrari. It did not start as a car manufacturer for the streets, but a race car manufacturer. It was not until 1946 that they decided to start selling street legal cars all around the world.
The company was sold after many years of financial hardship to the Fiat company in 1969. Enzo however did maintain total control of the racing section of the business until he passed away in 1988 at the ripe old age of 90.
Ferrari is famous for its Formula One team which has won constantly since its inception in the sport. It’s most famous driver is of course Michael Schumacher. It’s had great success in the sport since the 50’s and that carried on through into the 60’s as well as the mid to late 1990’s.
It was not until 1947 till the first road car was actually produced by Ferrari. It was the 125 S, which was built on an amazing V12 engine. The only reason Enzo built cars for consumers was to finance his racing business. He almost had a disdain for his customers.
Ferrari’s are the ultimate accessory for the rich who use the cars more for prestige then their performance capabilities. This is what use to annoy Enzo Ferrari. His passion for his car brand was unmatched.
A car was named after Enzo in 2002 and only 399 were produced. The “Enzo Ferrari” is one of the most sought after cars of all time.
